| Corel WordPerfect 8.0 for Linux
offers the same word processing capabilities as the classic version available
for other operating systems, plus many features available only for Linux. New
and enhanced features include context-sensitive toolbars, grammar and spelling
correction, revision tracking, charting and drawing tools, table enhancements,
and Internet publishing capabilities, which allow you to edit or create a
document in WordPerfect and publish it to HTML, complete with hyperlinks and
bookmarks. Web files also can be converted directly into Corel WordPerfect
format. A built-in file manager allows you to access files, create directories,
change file modes, and more without having to remember Linux commands. This
Linux version of WordPerfect uses the same file format as WordPerfect for
Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 3.1, and Unix, and you can manage more than 40
different file formats, including Microsoft Word 97 files. WordPerfect for
Linux includes proprietary source code and is not covered under an open source,

I use multiple OS and have system commander installed as my boot manager, after
installing Corel Linux; it over wrote my master boot record without notifying me
first. The install program should confirm with the user if they would like
their MBR modified, or offer the user the option to choose a partition to boot
from. |

more improvements to SuSE's graphical installation tool, YaST2. It includes
automatic hardware detection, a simplified configuration of Internet connection,
a sound card, network, and printer. With the software installation, you can
choose from preconfigured systems, but also select any individual software you
want. For the experienced SuSE Linux user, you still get the original setup
tool, YaST1, with all of its features for installation, updates, and system
administration. Release 6.4 includes the KDE, GNOME, and WindowMaker desktop
