Microsoft Windows NT Load Balancing Service (Alpha)
|
| WLBS is an advanced TCP/IP load
balancing feature that supports up to 32-node load balancing and clustering for
services such as the Web (e.g. Microsoft Internet Information Server), streaming
media, virtual private networking (VPN), and proxy. WLBS installs as a standard
Windows NT networking driver and runs on your existing LAN. Once installed, it
operates in a fully transparent manner to both your server applications and to
your TCP/IP clients worldwide. Clients can access the cluster as if it were a
single computer by using one IP address. Under normal operations, WLBS
automatically balances the networking traffic between the clustered computers,
scaling the performance of one server to the level you require. When a
computer fails or goes offline, WLBS automatically reconfigures the cluster to
direct the client connections to the remaining computers. The offline
computer can transparently rejoin the cluster and regain its share of the
workload. |

MultiDomain Switcher 1.0
|
| From the developer: "The
MultiDomain Switcher should be used if a user needs to be able to connect to
multiple Windows NT Domains and/or Workgroups. The application let's users
switch between multiple NT domains and workgroups without having to involve the
domain administrator every time. To make it a little easier to add new
configurations, we have added a Wizard that walks through the required steps.
There is also an on-line help available that describes the flow in more detail." |
